PRIVACY POLICY
Device Security Pro
Effective date: 26 September 2026
This policy explains what information Device Security Pro ("the app", "we") handles, why, and the choices you have.
Short version: all app scanning happens on your phone. The list of your installed apps, their permissions, your questionnaire answers, scan results and reports never leave your device. We only store your account e-mail and your subscription status on our server so you can log in and use Pro on any device. Device Security Pro is a diagnostic tool, not an antivirus.
📌 What the app does
Symptom Scan - compares your answers with installed apps' permissions, install source and install/update dates to suggest likely causes.
Unknown Sources - lists apps not confirmed as installed from Google Play.
Device Audit - checks device settings such as screen lock, security patch level, USB debugging and encryption, and produces a score.
Risk Radar (Pro) - scores apps by the access they hold (accessibility, notification access, device admin, SMS, microphone, etc.).
Install Timeline (Pro) - shows apps installed or updated recently.
Auto Guard (Pro) - periodically checks, on your device, for newly installed apps and shows a local notification if one looks risky.
Permission Inspector & Quick Uninstaller (Pro) - review permissions and open Android's own uninstall screen.
PDF reports (Pro) - generated on your device and shared only when you choose to share them.
👤 Information we store on our server
Account: your e-mail address and an encrypted password, handled by our authentication provider Supabase.
Profile: your account ID, e-mail and the time you last used the app.
Subscription: whether your Pro subscription is active, its product ID and expiry/renewal date.
We do not upload your installed-app list, permissions, scan answers, scan results, history or reports.
💳 Payments
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details. Purchase validation is handled by RevenueCat, which receives your anonymous account ID, purchase tokens and subscription status from Google Play. Cancel anytime in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
🔑 Permissions used
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES - to see installed apps, their permissions and install details. This is the core of every scan and is processed only on your device.
REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES - to open Android's own uninstall confirmation screen. The app can never uninstall anything silently.
INTERNET - only for login and subscription checks.
BILLING - to buy the Pro subscription through Google Play.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS - only if you turn on Auto Guard, to alert you about risky installs.
The app does not access your contacts, photos, files, location, camera, microphone or SMS messages.
📊 Scan history
Scan history is stored in a local database on your phone. You can delete one report or all history at any time. Uninstalling the app removes it.
🗑️ Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account inside the app: Account → Delete account. This removes your login, profile and subscription record from our server. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription - please cancel it in Google Play first. You can also request deletion by e-mailing us at the address below.
🤝 Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share data only with the service providers above (Supabase for accounts, RevenueCat and Google Play for subscriptions) so the app can work.
🔐 Security
Data sent to our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to your server-side data is restricted to your own account by database security rules.
👶 Children
The app is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
🔄 Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be shown here with a new effective date.
